With the upcoming spring season ruled by oversized and cat-eyed shades, we at Sunglasses Shop are drawn to Rooney Mara’s approach to eyewear. By choosing the longstanding Ray-Ban 2140 over fast fashion frames, she stands out from the Hollywood set.

Released in 1952, the 2140 Wayfarer is one of Ray-Ban’s oldest designs. But that doesn’t mean it’s dated.  A universal hit with celebrities, its cool and edgy shape is loved everywhere and worn by everyone. With new colours being introduced each season there’s a great collection of the much loved style too. The Rare Prints series, which combines limited patterns with the 2140, made us fall in love with Ray-Ban all over again. Though you won't catch Rooney in patterned sunglasses, she prefers a classic colour palette.
