We were pleasantly surprised as Claudia Schiffer was unveiled as the face of Chanel eyewear today. But this is not the first time she has posed for the French fashion house. Since 1990 she has acted as muse to Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, and has been reunited with the style guru to front this latest campaign. Proving that she can still cut it in the fashion world, the supermodel strikes a pose in chic shades featuring chain detailing similar to Chanel bags. She also wows us with her attention-grabbing camellia hair accessories. But her headwear does not upstage her sunglasses, which come in feline, square and aviator shapes. We adore the image of Claudia wearing a camellia and cat-eyed sunglasses with interlacing leather temples.

Chanel is acclaimed for the sumptuous leather found on its products. Its use of leather has become far more creative over the years and the designs featured in the campaign are an excellent example. Luxurious leather sheaths each temple which also features elegant chain detailing. Though you do not expect to find leather on shades, the results and stylish and totally chic.
