Marc Jacobs Vandalised
The Marc Jacobs boutique on Mercer Street was surprised to discover that the outlet has been given a make over by infamous graffiti artist Kidult.
Kidult used a fire extinguisher filled with bright pink paint to spray the word ‘ART’ on its exterior as Marc Jacobs attended the Met Gala in NYC.
He later tweeted 'I think I did some ART?' followed by an image of Marc Jacobs employees cleaning off the graffiti.
In retaliation, Marc Jacobs tweeted 'Art by Art Jacobs,' with a picture of the scene.
Going one step further, the fashion designer later posted a photo of a pink T-shirt printed with a picture of the crime scene accompanied with the tweet; 'Available now for $689. Signed by the artist, $680’.
We don't know what Kidult has up his sleeves, but it’s made us want to go out and buy T-shirt – and a pair of Marc Jacobs sunglasses to match, of course.
