Hall's Aspen Return
Just in case you needed an extra reason to tune in to Winter X Games 2013, we've got one. Tanner Hall will be competing. According to ESPN, the Oakley freeski legend's three-year hiatus from the games is over. A chilling prospect for his competitive rivals.
Oakley Tanner Hall Signature Series Canopy Goggles
Tanner Hall's weapon of choice for keeping his view clear and precise in all conditions...
Whether he's relaxing in his Oakley sunglasses or riding the pipe in his signature Oakley Canopy Goggles, Hall epitomises style and composure. His Winter X Games pedigree is just as impressive. His haul of seven gold and four silver medals across all three disciplines makes him the most successful skier at the games.
Between 2002 and 2004, Hall won three slopestyle golds in a row. After that, he won three superpipe titles in a row (2006-2008). In total, the seemingly untouchable Hall climbed the podium steps for nine consecutive years.
Then disaster struck in May 2009 as Hall suffered a career-threatening injury while skiing at Stevens Pass in Washington. After a lengthy recovery full of ups and downs, Hall finally made his competitive comeback last May. But even we were surprised to hear that the pro will grace Aspen again this January. Will it be a fairytale return? We'll just have to wait and see...
