Dungey Wins Round Five
Oakley athletes are dominating the dirt right now. Ryan Villopoto is creeping up the AMA Supercross standings right now, with two wins in five races. But this week it was Ryan Dungey's turn to grab the headlines after he claimed victory in Anaheim.
Things didn't start too well for the star when his KTM's rear shock absorber failed before the start of the qualifying race. Despite being visibly frustrated behind his , Dungey scraped through the last chance qualifier to make the main event.

Then it was time for Dungey to really show his class. And the 2012 AMA Motocross champ duly delivered. On a track lightly dampened by rain, Dungey excelled to take second on the first lap. With Mike Alessi crashing on lap two, Dungey seized his chance to move into the lead.
From then on, Dungey made turned a close race into a routine victory just a short while after success seemed unlikely. Second place was secured by current championship leader Davi Millsaps. Dungey's partner in crime in Oakley sunglasses, Justin Barcia, finished third.
Dungey now sits second in the standings with five rounds down. The -sponsored rider has 93 points, putting him 14 behind Millsaps and one point clear of third-placed Trey Canard. The riders square off again at Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego on 9th February.
