Kevin Pietersen Bio

Born: 27th June 1980

Cricketer Kevin Pietersen has etched his name into history as one the finest sportsmen to ever represent England. South African-born batsmen Pietersen qualifies to play for England through his English mother and had to serve a four year qualifying period before finally being able representing the England national side.

Arguably Pietersen's finest moment came in the final day of the last test in The Ashes in 2005, when Pietersen hit 158 to seal England's first triumph over Australia in the competition in eighteen years.

He repeated the trick in 2010 by hitting 227 in Adelaide en route to England's Ashes series victory on Australian soil. Pietersen received an MBE in 2005 as a reward for his performance in the 2005 Ashes. Pietersen is currently plying his trade for Delhi Daredevils in the lucrative Indian Premier League.
