Emily Batty, Bio

Emily came on to the National and World racing scene in 2007 when she finished 1st at the Canadian National Mountain Bike Championships, and 1st overall in the Canada Cup Series. A top 10 finish at the 2008 U23 World Championships showed the world that she was one of the fastest rising stars in the sport.

Emily is the 2009 Pan Am U23 Champion. She finished 4th in the XC at UC Cup #1 in Fontana, CA and 1st in the Short Track at Sea Otter Classic. Emily came 10th and 13th in World Cups 2 and 3, and took 1st in the under-23 both. She was 1st at the Canada Cup round #1 in Baie Saint Paul.

Emily is also one of four siblings that race professionally. She says “I Started riding bikes with family for leisure, then it turned into racing, racing led to my passion, and now it’s my career.”
