Josh Hill was pulled straight from the amateur world into the highly coveted position of a “factory” motocross racer. Hill's burgeoning talent was recognised with the 2006 AMA Horizon Award, a title given to the best racer making the step up from amateur to professional racing.

Hill's first pro motocross race was met, not with the disappointment many graduating racers experience, but a remarkable second place and he announced himself as one of motocross's most promising rookie racers.

In 2007 Hill earned two podiums, one at the second Anaheim Supercross and one at the Seattle race. Hill’s consistency ensures he finishes at the front of the pack and third overall for the 2007 season.

Making the surprise advancement up to the premier class, a rare move for someone at Hill's young age, Hill embraced the new challenge and won his first ever race at the Minneapolis Supercross race. hill claimed a further six top five finishes in the 2008 season and is now a solid contender in motocross.
