Defending Danish National champion Andreas Bube only switched to the 800m in 2010. At the World Championship in 2011 in South Africa, Andreas had a great performance, showing his strength, potential and showing tactical skills for such a high international event.
Andreas Bube originally started running sprint distances and had a promising career in the hurdles as a junior. As a distance runner he reached the semi-finals, finishing 11th at the World Championships. This made him the 4th best – placed European runner at the distance and he’s representing Denmark in this year’s Olympic games.
In 2011 he improved his personal best by 3.44 seconds, becoming the only runner in the top 50 of the distance to improve by such a rate.
